At Near Earth Autonomy, we are building the future of flight by creating autonomy systems that enable aerial vehicles to fly themselves safely and efficiently. As an intern, you will work with the best minds in robotics and aerospace working to solve some of the hardest problems in the industry. You will write algorithms to keep aircraft safe or implement programs that map the world by processing hundreds of thousands of lidar data points per second and participate in flight tests to watch your technology in action. You will collaborate with mentors and teammates who are happy to share their expertise and help you grow professionally.

Qualifications and Skills
Near Earth Autonomy is looking for passionate interns to help develop autonomy systems for aerial vehicles.
- Interns will be onsite in Pittsburgh, PA
- Candidates should be undergraduate juniors or seniors or graduate students in Robotics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Candidates will have experience writing code in C++
- Candidates will have experience in one or more of the following areas: DevOps / Deployment Software, Computer Vision, Planning, Control or Computer Graphics
- Candidates should have familiarity with ROS
Our philosophy is to get you real-world experience with sufficient time to take on a task and see it through to real results. Therefore our internships will be at least 12 weeks in which you work 40 hours per week. If you are in Pittsburgh, you may work with us while continuing your studies.
Near Earth Autonomy is currently reviewing internship candidates to begin in Summer 2025.
