People Operations Generalist
The People Operations Generalist is responsible for performing people and HR-related duties on a professional level. Functional areas include: recruitment/employment, onboarding, offboarding, payroll, benefits management, training, performance management, and policy administration. Reporting to the People Operations Manager, the role is responsible for managing the day-to-day tactical and administrative functions. .
Responsibilities and Duties
- Support the organization with day-to-day People Operations/HR tasks and initiatives.
- Maintain employee files in HRIS and ensure all changes are entered appropriately and accurately.
- Support new hire orientation and onboarding activities.
- Along with the manager, process monthly payroll.
- Support implementation, communication, and management of People Operations programs and policies.
- Along with the manager, facilitate performance and feedback management system and processes.
- Aid in the administration of benefits and leaves of absence.
- Answer employee questions regarding pay, benefits, and policies.
- Assist in ensuring legal compliance with local, state, and federal HR regulations and applicable employment laws.
- Engage with candidates after an introductory call with a recruiter; manage the interview process workflow to ensure a smooth experience.
- Provide assistance with annual open enrollment and year-end processes.
- Perform ad-hoc work/special projects as necessary.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred, and three (3) to five (5) years of HR experience required
- Working knowledge of government rules and regulations governing human resources
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment with little supervision
- Experience in the robotics industry (or technology industry) is a strong plus
- Excellent Google Workspace skills
- Knowledge of HRIS architecture, system configuration, integrations and workflow automation is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with a diverse team of professionals
- Candidates must agree to undergo a full background check
